Dr. Anupama (Anu) Das was born in Kerala, India and has been living in the US since 1976. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago with special honors in Biology. She completed her medical degree from the University of Alabama, and then spent time working and studying in India before she completed her pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota. Most recently, Dr. Das completed both her preventive medicine residency as Chief Resident and her Master’s in Public Health at the University of Colorado, Anschutz.

Dr. Das is passionate about finding solutions for health that are culturally sensitive and respectful of all aspects of the human condition including spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical.

Dr. Das believes that all beings come to this world with a purpose and have the innate right to pursue their own meaning to the fullest. All beings also have the innate right to be treated with respect, kindness, and honesty. Dr. Das believes that her role as a physician and fellow traveler in life is to help others overcome the barriers to following and fulfilling their chosen purpose with respect, kindness, and honesty. Dr. Das strives to meet and understand people where they are and to help them celebrate their own unique journey.

Dr. Das believes that because the underlying cause and therefore treatment of eating disorders is complex, a multifaceted approach is necessary. Connection between providers and patients is crucial to ensure that a respectful patient-centered approach is utilized to help individuals live their life while emphasizing their values. Dr. Das is excited to be part of the Gaudiani Clinic team where her values are embodied by the care model.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Das loves ruminating on the meaning of life, going on long walks with her dogs, playing tennis, riding horses, yoga, watching foreign historical fiction, traveling, and meditating. She also loves spending time with family and friends, sharing time and space for self-expression, laughter, and tears.

Dr. Das is now accepting patients for December 2022.
